Harold at Big Apple Entertainment was incredibly supportive from our initial outreach onward. We had a mix of musical requests, and his depth of knowledge across genres of music was the main differentiator. Moreover, Big Apple was able to provide us with great live musicians which we wanted for cocktail hour, as well as a photobooth. After we locked in the wedding day, Harold was clear on timing and expectations. We provided him a must play and do not play list which were followed by DJ Dan. At the end of the night, even staff members at the venue commented on how great and diverse the music selection was, and we cannot thank the Big Apple team enough. Highly recommend!

Harold was such a great DJ! He did an excellent job organizing our preferred songs into a playlist that kept everyone dancing all night, and he really engaged the crowd (aged 6 through 80s) when hyping them up or drawing their attention to special points (like cutting the cake). We appreciated the way Big Apple Entertainment handled the music and emceeing at our daughter's wedding reception! Harold and his co-workers did a terrific job! Everything was handled smoothly, and the management of the sequence and flow of events was perfect. The volume of the mic and the music, and the pacing of the changing of the songs, were just ideal. They were able to get the room up dancing and having fun, right from the start, and they created a great atmosphere. As an announcer, Harold's voice was chill and clear, but lively at the same time, and the wording of your announcements was right on the mark. Incredible!! We can not speak more highly of this company! They did my sisters wedding and my cousins wedding and we just knew that they had to do ours as well. Our favorite part of their service is their ability to individualize each of the weddings. Each wedding was so unique to each couple even though it was the same company. Teddy was incredible and kept everyone on the dance floor for most of the night! We are so happy with their service.

Wow these guys really delivered!!! My husband’s family is Egyptian, mine is American, and both sides love to dance and party, so we needed the music to switch between English and Arabic over the course of the night (not that easy to do without losing momentum from half the party). We provided the team ~20 Arabic songs in advance and we were SO impressed at how seamlessly they incorporated and mixed the music- both sides of the family and our friends were dancing the entire night! They were also very easy to communicate with both leading up to and with the emcee on the night of the event (for example, moving up the cake cutting so our photographer could get the shots before he left, making sure they had the right pronunciation of our bridal party names for the grand entrance)

My fiancé and I met Paul at a bridal expo event that was taking place at our venue. He was a preferred vendor for the venue as well and was highly recommended. He gave a brief demonstration and my fiancé and I were both thrilled. We have different taste in music – he likes rock and I like country, but we both wanted to dance. I had wanted to surprise my fiancé by walking down the aisle to a Metallica song. Paul worked with me to find the perfect version and it was great! Paul was able to incorporate both of our music styles during the cocktail hour and reception and people were dancing the whole time! We had also opted to not take part in some traditional wedding elements, like the bouquet and garter toss. Instead Paul suggested a “longest couple dance” which was a huge hit. Everyone had a great time and we couldn’t have been happier.

Overall I had a great experience with Big Apple. I worked with Jamie and from our first meeting he was very professional and organized. I like how he wanted to learn more about our musical taste and the demographics of our guests to ensure he catered to everyone's musical palate. Our guests really enjoyed themselves at our wedding and Jamie had the whole place dancing up a storm. I was very pleased with the outcome. We used Big Apple for our live ceremony music as well (harp and violin) which was so beautiful. Also another option that Big Apple offered was the "hora loca" dancers which we chose for our reception. They were AWESOME and definitely differentiated our wedding from others that we have attended. 5 stars hands down for Big Apple Entertainment

Jaime and Paul were great to work with. We walked into our first meeting not knowing much and having left a meeting with a different DJ company a few days later I️ was overwhelmed. Jaime and Paul explained a typical wedding but then asked us for important details. Their questions ensured we tailored the reception to our guests. We left and I️ was so relieved and no longer felt like we were so far behind with planning like the first company made me feel. There are easy to work with, extremely accommodating, and absolutely reasonably priced. We also had them do our photo booth which everyone loved! Jaime MC’d and got the whole room up to do the tarantella, what more could we have asked for. You won’t regret making an appointment!

However I met with Harold and the first meeting he put me at ease. He was very attentive and understanding to what our needs were. I Knew we made the right choice when we were at our final meeting and my fiancé and I disagreed on our music choice for the ceremony. Harold was able to read my body language and provided a compromise that made us both happy. The day of the wedding, they had us and all of our guests on the dance floor, I could not have chosen better music if we did it ourselves. There are not enough good things I can say about Big Apple Entertainment!! Our wedding was on 10/5/19 in Sullivan County and I couldn’t be happier with how all our music for the day turned out. We had our ceremony located on an old bridge in the woods and they were able to use battery operated equipment for the music and it turned out great. As far as the music for the reception-they did everything I asked for! They totally got the vibe I was going for and also were able to read the crowd to know which song to play next. People were dancing all night long including myself! People were raving about the music and said it was the most fun they’ve ever had at a wedding. I can’t thank you guys enough!! Our MC was Harold and our DJ was Jon, they made a great team!
